Setting an "And" condition rather than "or"

Gerry Schmidt

Is there a way to create a new rule using the rules wizard, where I can
select "with specific words in the subject" that will allow me to use an
"and" condition rather than the default "or" condition? In other words, I
want an action to happen only if this word AND this word AND this word are in
the subject. They are rarely, if ever, contiguous. Any ideas?

No, you can't use AND in rules when the criteria is the same.

What action is the rule taking? If you can keep them in the inbox and use
views instead, View's filter and autoformatting support AND.

Combine two similar clauses inside the same rule:

with <specific words> in the subject
and with <specific words> in the subject or body

The second clause checks for the word(s) in the body, too. That's about
as close as you can get. So if the words you are trying to test on in
the Subject header aren't in the body (or their presence in the body is
just as good as testing on their presence in the Subject header) then
this would work.
