Setting angle direction zero point

Is there any default setting of angle zero point ?

If I draw a line horizontally from left to right, the angle is zero dergree.
If I draw a line vertically from bottom to top, the angle is 90 degree.

Is it possible to change these settings, so it corresponds to the compass
directions ?

I like to draw a compass with automatic formattet text with correct angles
displayed.
