When setting up a new appointment in Entourage the time is changed i.e. I enter a time of 9a.m. and when it appears in my Entourage calendar is is 30 minutes earlier i.e. 8.30 a.m.
The event time zone shown is for a different city than the one I live in i.e. half an hour ahead of my time zone. How do you change event time zones ?

When setting up a new appointment in Entourage the time is changed
i.e. I enter a time of 9a.m. and when it appears in my Entourage
calendar is is 30 minutes earlier i.e. 8.30 a.m. The event time zone
shown is for a different city than the one I live in i.e. half an
hour ahead of my time zone. How do you change event time zones ?

Make sure two places are set correctly.

Check Apple menu --> System Preferences... --> Date & Time --> Time
Zone. Set this to match your *current* time zone and *reset* first thing
this when you travel and change time zones.

In Entourage look under Entourage menu --> Preferences... --> General
Preferences --> Calendar and select a Default time zone for new events.
Once this is set then you should not change it.

That may seem counter-intuitive, to not change Entourage's time zone
setting, but consider that you probably want all your event times to
correspond to that time zone.

If you're in CST but receive a meeting invitation from someone in PST
then Entourage will adjust accordingly. When you travel to the PST time
zone for the meeting and then adjust your Mac OS X Date & Time settings
then Entourage will recognize that and your meeting time will be
correctly reflected.

If while you're visiting PST you receive an invitation for a meeting
back in CST then you can simply Accept the meeting invitation and when
you travel back to CST (and adjust your Date & Time settings) then your
meeting time will still be reflected correctly.

The only exceptions you have to make are when putting events onto your
own calendar. I am in CST time zone and I like to put events on my
calendar for PST events. I must always remember that PST is two hours
behind and adjust my times accordingly.

Hope this helps!
