Setting Custom properties to a document

D

DGD

In the majority of Office applications if you go to File>Properties>custom
you can set custom properties for a document as a whole.

I know that within Visio 2003 you can set Custom properties to specific
shapes through, Insert>Field>Custom Properties, however field is greyed out
if a specific shape is not picked.

Is there a way of setting custom properties to the document asa a whole????

Thanks in advance

Custom properties are different than File Properties. But if you want
Shape-style Custom Properties for the entire document, it is possible, but
you don't have the same user-friendly property definition dialog. You have
to define the properties by editing the ShapeSheet of the document.

Check out our MVP web log for more about the Document ShapeSheet:

You can add User-cells or Custom Properties to the Document's sheet via
Insert > Section.
