Setting default font and color in outlook 2007?

I followed the suggestion given me on this forum of setting my default font
and color using Tools, Options, Mail Format, Personal Stationery and
selecting fonts and colors for HTML, Plain Text, new, forward, and reply. No
matter what I choose, it always defaults back to either Arial 10 or Helvitica
10, neither of which I have selected. It always defaults back to black from
the dark blue I prefer. I don't have much hair left to pull, so can someone
please help me? I am using Outlook 2007 that came with the MSOffice 2007

Everyone, including Millie, correctly tells me to go to Tools, Options, Mail
Format, Personal Stationery to select my font and color. After reviewing
this topic, which came in from a lot of people with the same problem, I
finally just now found an older message from Roady (9-16-06) with the
solution. It is so simple I feel like a dunce for not thinking of it. He
said that before selecting the default font and color, to first get rid of
any theme shown at the top and select 'No Theme.' When I did that, then
everything started working in the font and color I wanted no matter whether I
was writing a new message, forwarding, or replying. So, boys and girls, the
next time someone comes up with the same problem, be sure to add the No Theme
instruction and then the rest of your instructions work. Selecting a
particular theme also selects your fonts and colors for you and takes away
your default options. Thanks to all who have saved what little hair I have

I've had this problem since installing 2007. However this fix did not work.
I have never used a "theme" and every time I write a new email the font
reverts to regular instead of bold as I has been set.

Any other tries?
