Setting default line characteristics

I want to find out how to change the default line width and color so
that every time I create a new line in the same drawing it is the
same. The way it is now I have to reformat every new line I create. It
is a pain.

Hi Dan,

A couple of places to try:

1. With nothing selected on the page, simply choose a line color and pattern
from the Formatting toolbar. Thereafter, when you draw a line, you'll get
these settings. I'm not sure, off the top of my head, if this persists
between Visio sessions.

2. Change the "Normal" style under Format > Define Styles > Normal
