setting default style on Word 2007 documents

How do I make the "No Spacing" style my default style for every new Word
2007 document that I open? It always opens to the "Normal" style.

You can open the Normal template as a document and then apply No Spacing to
the blank paragraph. Then save and close the file.

Note that in order to open the Normal template, you can search for it in
Windows (be sure to search hidden files and folders), right-click its icon,
and choose Open from the context menu.

Alternatively, create a custom template with the desired settings and apply
the appropriate style to the main body as well as to headers and footers.
