Setting default task types

Is there a way to set the task type (fixed work, units or duration) to a
value for all tasks entered in my plan, e.g., I'd like to set all tasks to
fixed work. I'm buildling a template for a project team and I'd like the
team's plans to default to fixed work.

Do the following:

1. Open the project
2. Click Tools - Options - Schedule
3. Set the Default Task Type value to "Fixed Work"
4. Click OK
5. Click the Select All button to select all existing tasks in the project
6. Click Project - Task Information
7. Click the Advanced tab
8. Set the Task Type value to "Fixed Work"
9. Click OK
