Miraculously, I managed to get my company's network administrators to publish
my database to Metaframe. Everything is working fine. Problem is, most of
the users are so technically inept that they can't join their workgroup when
they open the front end. The default workgroup gives them no permissions at
all. Since I'm not a member of the IT dept., I have no rights to control the
command line for the shortcut that opens the file. So I can't direct it to
the proper workgroup. The Citrix administrators either can't do it or won't
do it because I have asked a thousand times. Is there any possible way to
set the default workgroup from inside Access? By the way, I created the
workgroup after the database was published to Metaframe. I thought it would
default to the workgroup I created but it doesn't. Goes to some system
workgroup file at the server farm.
