Setting duration

Hi,

I'm MS Project novice. I'm trying to make a new task to my MS Project
file. When I set a start day 15.2.2010 and duration 40, I get an end
date thursday 8.4.2010. I was thinking it should produce for the end
date friday 9.4.2010? There is 40 working days (mon-fri) between those
days (15.2.-9.4.2010). Am I missing something?

Hi Larus,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

I tried this on my PC and I get 09 Apr as you expected. Maybe there's
something different in your working hours settings. You might like to see
FAQ Item: 5. Default Working Hours - FAQs, companion products and other
useful Project information can be seen at this web address:
http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm.

It might help to go to Tools/Options.../View tab and select a Date format
that includes the time of day.

As a beginner, you might like to have a look at my free series for beginners
on Microsoft Project in the TechTrax ezine, at this site:

(Perhaps you'd care to rate the articles before leaving the site, :)
Thanks.)

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)
