Setting Focus to a control

I have been working with Infopath for a short while now and by far the most
frustrating thing so far has been trying to change the focus to a control
based on various events. I've been working with the selectnode/selecttext
methods in vbscript and just can't seem to get them to work right,
especially when trying to set the focus to a field within a repeating
table/section. Any tips on how to correctly use these methods, code samples
would be great!
