Setting Header left hand margin

Hi
Is there any way to set the header left margin to less
than the default of 0.75 inches? Setting page margins
does not work. (Know how to increase margin by adding
blank characters)

I'm afraid the header/footer margins are hard-wired and you cannot change
them.
