Setting Holidays for multiple years

Doug

There is no way to set US Federal Bank Holidays for multiple years? In MS
Outlook, I can add a holiday to my calendar and it will put it in ALL years.
From what I've seen, in MS Project, I must go to each year for each
individual day and holiday and change it to a Non-Working day. This does not
make sense. Is there something I'm missing? Please help.

Hi Doug,

As far as I know, no. You will need to go to each month of each year
and set the holidays. Sorry. You may wish to create a new custom
calendar, set the holidays, and then copy the custom calendar to the
Global.mpt file using the Organizer.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Hi Doug ,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

The problem with federal holidays is that they only apply to the USA.
Project is used worldwide and getting all that sorted is a problem.
However, one of our listed Companion Products has an Outlook/Project tool
which will do what you want - see www.housatonic.com.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

Doug,
I'm sure that you don't need it now, but others might. I have a US
Government Calendar showing all Holidays through 2014. I also have an Excel
file that calculates US Government Holidays for any year. Is there a place
where such MS Project customization and related tools can be placed for
general usage? If so, I'm looking for a UK Bank Holiday Calendar. I didn't
see any sign of such files on the MVP site, just companion products that do
it for you.
