setting label width

Randy

Hello,
I'm new to Visio. I'm trying to find out how to set the label width. I feel
I must be over-looking the obvious, but I just can't find where to set this.
The problem is that my text for the label wraps down on the next line and I
want it to be all on the same line.
Thanks for any help... :)

Thanks...I didn't see/know about that. Can I ask you another
question?...When I click/use the Text Block tool and I click on the label, I
apparently have to group the label in order to stretch the text block using
the Text Block tool. But, when I group it, it appears to break the text
block into two text blocks and I can't get back in to modify the original
text. Basically, when I switch on the Text Block tool and click the label,
it doesn't have the little green rotate dot at the top/middle of the label
text block unless I group it.
Can you tell me the progression of how to...
1)drag a label to the worksheet
2)type text in it
3)stretch the label text block to lengthen horizontally the text
Thanks for you help...

What shape are you working with? Is it called "Label"? Since there are
several of those, what is the name of the stencil you are dragging the shape
from?
