Setting Start and End Dates for Tasks

I am wondering how to set the Start and End dates to only show month & year.
I don't need a date within a month. Can't seem to find that option under the
Date Format.

AFAIK, you can't. Remember Project schedules everything in minutes anyway.
If your individual tasks are longer than a maximum of about 80 hours each,
you're probably not breaking the project down into enough detail to actually
schedule and manage it. If you're simply interested in illustrating a "big
picture" timeline, perhaps a drawing tool like Visio might be more
appropriate.
