Setting Start/Finish Dates Based on FS and FF Tasks?

I have a Task (Task 3) that I would like to start 5 days after Task 1 ends
and end 5 days after Task 2 ends (ex. Task 1 ends on 3/30 and Task 2 ends on
4/20, I would like Task 3 to start on 4/6 and end on 4/27). I thought I
would be able to do this by setting a FS+5 predecessor on Task 1 and a FF+5
predecessor on Task 2, but that doesn't seem to work. The only way to
accomplish it seems to be to adjust the duration until I get the dates (or
close to them) that I want. Is there a way to have the dates automatically
set this way without setting the task duration or effort?

This is a tricky one! Add two milestones 1a and 2a.
Task1a milestone (0 days) is linked to Task1 as FS+5d
Task2a milestone (0 days) is linked to Task2 as FS+5d

Task3 becomes a hammock task. Read about creating Hammock Tasks
at FAQ#19 in the URL in my signature.

The start date of Task3 becomes the Task1a Start Date. The finish date of
Task3 becomes the finish date of Task2a.
