I am running Word 2002 on a Win2K platform generating long (60+ page) outlines. I am using nine levels of heading styles to set the hierarchy of the outlines. Currently I am successfully assembling a table of contents for Heading 1 - 3 and would like to selectively expand to certain articles in levels 4 - 6.
For instance, in the "table of contents options" dialog box I would like to uncheck "Heading 4" and check "Heading 4 + Teal" so that only Heading 4 titles that are colored teal are rolled up into the table of contents, forsaking all other colors of Heading 4. I did get "Heading 4 + Teal" added in to the list of available styles in the "table of contents options" dialog box once and it did select only the teal colored Heading 4 entries for the table of contents, but it was gone when I rebooted and I haven't been able to reproduce it.
How can I get selected styles added to the list of available styles in the "table of contents options" dialog box?
