Setting the default picture editor in Word

In MS Word 2000, you can set the default picture editor by selecting Tools
--> Options, from the menu bar, then clicking on the Edit tab. On the Edit
tab, there is a drop-down that allows you to select from either "Microsoft
Word" or "Microsoft Photo Editor 3.0".

I would like to know how to set it up so that you can add other picture
editors, like Microsoft Paint or Adobe Photoshop, to the list of choices for
the default picture editor.

Hi Wrigham,

There hasn't been a choice for using other editors and in later versions of Word the choice to select anything else has gone as
well. You can always edit the pictures in another editor then insert them, or in the case of Word 2007 after editing a copy in
another editor use the 'Change Picture' choice in the right click menu.
