Setting time input mask

Hi all Access 2007 - Vista SP1

I have a field in a table for an appointment time, but, I want to have an
input mask for it set to 00:00 P (or A), having only to type the A or P for
AM or PM, without having to type both letters. I have tried the medium time
input mask but have to type both letters. How can I set the input mask so
that I only have to type the one letter, and tab on to the next field?

Sorry, forgot to add, the time input mask that I am looking for is like
00:00 P, I don't need the seconds.

and set the form control's Format property to MediumTime.
