Setting up 2 inboxes

Hi,

I am trying to sort out a friend's Outlook.

He has 2 email accounts:

The first he uses when he is on the office by connecting to our POP3 server.

The second account is a 'remote' account. Our server sends a duplicate copy
of all emails to this so that he can access them via web-based email.

Recently he set up a second account in Outlook so that all the 'remote'
emails could be downloaded into his inbox when he is away from the office.

But when he returns to the office and connects to our server he gets a
second copy downloaded in to his inbox.

I'd like to know if there is a way to automatically send/recieve in to
seperate inboxes - so he can either work remotely or locally. I have set up a
second data file but don't know how to direct email into it.

If there isn't a way to do this could I install Outlook twice on his computer?

He is using Outlook XP.
