setting up a4 demarcation lines or markers in a worksheet

hi all,

xp pro, office 2003 pro,

i don't know whether i wanted is possible. i have tried to search this group
as well as the general 'google' approach but could not find an answer. i
wanted to set-up a marker of some sort e.g. demarcation bold lines the size
of an a4 landscape page within the worksheet that i am working on covering x
rows and y columns to remind me at all time to work within these rows &
columns area.

the motive, in my mind, eventually when i do print out the worksheet
containing my work, it will be exactly within an a4 landscaped page. what
usually happened in the past was when i do print i discovered that i have
exceeded the a4 and only by trial and error thereafter managed to get my work
into an a4 sized page on printing.

i hope it all make sense - what i wanted to achieve. thank you all for your
advise and help.

jes

I don't think you can get a big, bold marker but...

First, verify that you have your Page Breaks set.
From the top menu, select TOOLS then OPTIONS then the VIEW tab.
In the 'Window Options' section of the VIEW tab, make sure that the 'Page
Breaks' option is checked.

Next, from the top menu, select FILE then PRINT PREVIEW. When you CLOSE out
of this window, you should now see black hypenated lines at your page breaks.
This should solve your issue of staying inside the lines :O>.
