Setting up an NCR template to print to a Epson DOt Matrix.

Hello all,

I'm in the early stages of setting up a template to use the current 5-Part
NCR Quotes (no carbon required) which will be changed from single sheet to
Perforate/continuous paper for quote be printed to the Dot Matrix Printer.

The problem am having is I can print near the edge of the paper top/bottom.
I've tried using the header and footers and see if I can get any closer and
even setting the Footer/Header margin to 0 but am still an Inch from the
bottom edge.
Of course I understand it would be practically impossible for any printer to
print text right on the edge of any given paper, but I like to get to a 1/4
of an Inch from the papers edge.

Using Word 2000 to create the template, is there something that can be done
to print near the edge?

Many thx on replies.

If your printer is capable of printing that close to the edge (and it should
be, since it can print over the fold if necessary), then you should be able
to set header/footer margins to 0" and top/bottom margins to 0.25", and Word
should respect that. Do you have the Epson selected as the active printer
when you are setting up the document?

Suzanne,

I have tried setting the footer margin to 0.25", but word fixes this setting
and reverts back to 1.79"

I also have the dot matrix as the default printer and under print setup the
dot matrix is also selected there.

Still the only problem am having is with the footer, seems word will not
allow me to get even close to a 0.75" from the edge.

Does Word "fix" this even if you reject its offer to fix it? Can you find a
different driver for the printer at Epson's Web site?

Do u think this is a limitation of the printer driver?
I think I'll contact Epson and find out what can be done.
