Setting up Booklet Help

T.J. Warner

Hi group!

I'm setting up a booklet that I'd like to have read as a book when
printed. I think the problem I'm running in to is that my printer
doesn't support dual-page printing.

I have my "booklet" set up in Publisher 2003, (I think) correctly. When
I go to print it out, however, all the pages print in a strange
grouping. The printing itself is "normal", but I can't figure out why
certain pages are being linked to others. I would've thought that as
page 1 is set up as a right hand page (to start), that the next pages,
2+3 would print together, 4+5 would print together, with the last page,
technically being the back cover.

I have 12 pages in my project. Page 1 is the cover and the rest are the
content.

I'm using an HP Deskjet 932c printer. Any help would be GREATLY
appreciated.

Thanks..

Hmmm, your first sheet should include 4 pages...
1, 12, 2, 11.

Page one is the cover and page 12 is the back cover or last page.

If you have setup your publication in page setup as a booklet, page one should
be displayed as a single page.

Print a publication on a printer that does not support duplex printing

Even if your printer does not support duplex printing, you can still produce a
double-sided publication. For example, you can:

1. Print each page separately, and then copy the pages on a copier that supports
double-sided copying.
2. Display the side of the publication that you want to print first. In the
Print dialog box, under Print Range, click Current page. (Click no to the query)
When the print run of the first side is complete, flip the sheets over and
reinsert them into the printer, and then print the other side.
