SETTING UP Database PASSWORD

I am trying to setup a password for my ACCESS DB , and i keep on getting this
message" You need to have the DB open for exclusive use to set or unset the
pasword"..........:
But, i already opened the DB by using the File menu option and then open
exclusive , and I still get the same message , I also went to the
Tools-Options-Advanced to make sure the database is in exclusive mode, and it
is...
Is there still something i still need to do to make it exclusive.Appreciate
any help. Thanks in advance.

Try opening the file through the following:
- Go to the file and highlight it.
- At the bottom right, you'll see an "Open" dropdown button (above the
"Cancel" button)
- Choose "Open Exclusive"
