setting up emails

Jo

Hi
I was hoping that using Microsoft Office would be quite simple as I am not a
computer whizz!! It seems complicated to me. I am trying to set up an
e.mail account in outlook so that I can send and receive e.mails. Could
someone help?? I currently have an email account with hotmail.

You could have the mail forwarded from hotmail to your email like outlook
express. I think its called POP3. Just go into hotmails help section and type
in POP3 or mail forwarding for outlook or outlook express and it should have
a walk threw. I am doing it with my Gmail to my outlook express and it works
great. Thats all I do is open up my Outlook Express and all my mail that
would regularly be in Gmail is now in there and its also in my gmail as well.

Free Hotmail accounts can no longer be routed to Outlook or Outlook Express.
You have to have had it set up to do so prior to September 2004. Gmail is a
different critter.

Sorry then JO. I would change my email to Gmail and POP3 it because of the
space and it has a great spam catcher among other things...

Is this the Office 2003 TRIAL version on a new PC? If so, unless you are
planning on actually buying it, forget about setting up Outlook and go
back to Outlook Express. It will go to "cripple mode" at the end of the
trial period.
