Yes it is possible. Just Host your Server as Live IP and enter your
extranet address into Admin -> Server configuration -> Server extranet
Address. configure your users and Distribute this address and give
your users. Ask them to connect to server from computer other than
your LAN.

please tell me if i have answer your question..

Hi Jerry,

Configuring the Project Server and SharePoint Server to use a Live IP
address on the Internet without taking additional security measures is
asking for trouble. BIGTIME!

When you connect to PWA over the Internet, a whole new set of security
issues is introduced. Please remember that port 80 is the most often
attacked port, and even with the use of SSL (port 443), external
connections offer an obvious attack point. Your company should have a
security policy that details the acceptable behavior for your users when
they connect to either the PWA or WSS sites. Also the security policy
should cover detailed information on the security infrastructure

If you do not already have such policies in place, consider the
following:

All Internet Web servers must be firewall protected.
Project Server and WSS servers must be in the perimeter network.
Internet portal servers must be placed on a separate subnet.
Connection to intranet portal servers from the Internet requires
encryption and certificates.
Vendor connectivity to intranet from the Internet is prohibited.
Customer connectivity to customer sites from the Internet requires
encryption and certificates.

I would also suggest reading the Windows Server 2003 Security Guide

4d89-b655-521ea6c7b4db&displaylang=en

So my advice to you or anyone is that you're just asking for heaps of
trouble throwing up your Project Server and WSS Server on the Internet
without taking the necessary security precautions.

Good Luck

Microsoft Office Project Server 2003 - CAL Guide
"The External Connector license (EC) is an optional additional server
license for external users that enables access to your servers running
Microsoft Project Server. With this license, you do not need to buy
individual client access licenses (volume licensing programs only)."
