I recently added a DSL line and have wireless internet. When the installer
setup DSL he said that because there was no static line that my email setup
through outlook which was from a dial up company I have through work would
not work ( its my company so I have all the info). The installer thought of
an idea of using Microsoft Exchanger Server to access the email account. He
didn’t talk to his company or the dial up company but had it working in about
five minutes. Unfortunately I deleted the server type and no one from Qwest
or Infinity Internet has any idea on how he did it.
Under the Microsoft exchange server the settings page asks for the name of
your Microsoft Exchange Server Computer. I don’t know what he put or what
else he did but does anyone have any suggestions.
I have never done this so a simple explanation on how to set everything up
would be greatly appreciated.
