I've just bought Office 2007 and according to Microsoft's website I don't
need to buy a Japanese language pack if all I want to do is type in Japanese.
Only if I want all the menu's and stuff to be in Japanese. I've had Office
2003 before this and had no problem downloading and installing a language
pack and switching back and forth between english and Japanese.
But now I can't figure out how I'm supposed to do this! I have Windows XP
and Office 2007 Professional Plus. I can see Japanese & chinese text on
websites but cannot figure out how to enable to type in Japanese. I have a US
laptop, when I check under 'keyboard enabling' Japanese is not an option! And
under the Office 2007 Language settings Japanese has 'limited support' which
looking up this with Microsoft's how-to's does not answer.
So after trying to figure this out for myself I'm turning to you guys here,
and hopefully somebody can help me out with this. Because after paying $$ for
Professional I don't want to have to then pay out $25 for a language pack
that has functions I don't even need!
