I have received an email this way, so I know it's possible.
But that IS using the blind courtesy copy feature. Different mail clients
supply differnt values for the To field (which is completely unimportant, by
the way, and not used for mail delivery at all). You can simulate what you
saw before by creating a new Contact whose name is "Undisclosed-recipients"
adnd whose address is your own. Put that in the To field and the rest of
your recipients in the Bcc field.
