Setting up "Undisclosed Recipients" in Outlook 2000 e-mail

How do I set up a group mailing as "Undisclosed Recipients" in Outlook 2000,
Where the list of people receiving the message cannot see who else is on the

Use the BCC field. Outlook does not place "Undisclosed Recipients" in the To
field. You can do so manually if you really think you need to.

I would also like to set up the group "Undisclosed-recipients:" in the To:
field, but I am using . I do not want to use the blind copy. I have
received an email this way, so I know it's possible.

But that IS using the blind courtesy copy feature. Different mail clients
supply differnt values for the To field (which is completely unimportant, by
the way, and not used for mail delivery at all). You can simulate what you
saw before by creating a new Contact whose name is "Undisclosed-recipients"
adnd whose address is your own. Put that in the To field and the rest of
your recipients in the Bcc field.

Create a contact named "Undisclosed-recipients" and give it your own email
address. Include this contact in the To field and all the other contacts in
the Bcc field.
