Setting up with an upgrade

I need some guidance. We bought a new WinXP machine and an upgrade
to MS Office Professional 2007. 1) should we uninstall the trial versions
already installed on the new machine before we install the upgrade?
2) can we install the upgrade on the new system w/o having the original
CDs (if we connect the new system and the old system by a network, can
the install process find the old version on the old system to permit the
upgrade?

1) YES it is a good idea to uninstall the trial version because the
version already on the system may not be identical to the one you have
bought;

2) you need the media for the qualifying product. Have you got the CDs
for the old product? If so, you need to start with the upgrade version
and when prompted, insert the media for the qualifying product and when
this has been done, re-insert your new CDs/DVDs and continue with the
installation.
