I am trying to do invitations, and trying to set a clip art as the
background. When it print I would like the picture to cover the whole page,
but it does not, there is always space at the bottom and on the sides. Can
some please help.

Word can only print what your printer driver allows. Some "photo" printers allow
printing all the way to the edges of the page, but most printers require some
unprintable area for paper handling.

The only alternative is to print and then cut off the unprinted edges. A
straight-edge paper cutter is recommended for this.

In a graphics application like MS Paint (limited functionality),
PaintShopPro or Photoshop.

If it is a clipart image -- (wmf file type) -- you may be able to ungroup it
and recolor individual parts of the image... then reselect the image and
regroup it.
