Settings reset all the time - Organize Inbox Using Colors

S

Selim Oflaz

I use Outlook 2007 on Exchange 2005. I cannot permanently use colors. After I
edit the automatic formating rule for i.e. "Show messages sent only to me in
Blue" and go to another folder (i.e. Sent Items), the settings are reset to
its original state.

Any solution or advise? Is this a bug?

Thanks,

Exchange 2005???

Tried resetting the view on the folder already?
View-> Current View-> Customize Current View-> Reset Current View

S

Selim Oflaz

No I didnt do that. I did not do anything that will reset the settings.
Outlook resets it by itself for no reason.

Sorry Exchange 2003...

No, I mean reset it manually once and see if the changes stick after that.

It works if I apply my own view to the folder; however when I go to another
folder and return back the settings are reset. This is valid for all type of
changes. I changed i.e. Column Font and saved it. Then I went to another
folder and returned back to changed folder, the settings are reset.

In that case have your mail admins check the Exchange database for errors.

Yes you are right. The problem is with Exchange folders. PST folders dont
have such issues in my Outlook. I will communicate with our Exchange admin.
