Setup cannot remove the older version of Microsoft Office Pro 2010

With Windows 7 Ult (X64), I have MS Office Ult 2007 (X86) installed. I am
trying to install MS Office Pro 2010 (X86). I selected an 'upgrade' install
and it failed with the subject line message. I then tried to uninstall
Office 2007 from control panel; same result. Log shows:
