Setup Different Security Levels.

David F.

Hello,

I have a local DB that I need to set Tools/Macros/Security to low in order
for it to work since I call external programs/etc.

How can setup security on a per DB method. Something like add trusted DB's
to a "Trusted DB" or something like that.

TIA!

Hi David

No, there is not (yet <silent prayer>) any way to specify a list of "trusted
databases", although the idea has a great deal of merit.

However, I can see no security risk in setting macro security to "Low".
Every Access database that does anything remotely useful contains some code,
so the warning itself is pointless. It just has to be up to the user to be
sensible about trusted sources and use of virus scanners. Besides, I only
ever heard of one virus that was propagated via Access, and its distribution
rate was approximately zero.
