setup failed, could not remove older version, but there was none!

I just tried to install the OneNote 2007 beta. On the first try it says that
it can not set up because it can not remove the older version of the One Note
2007 Beta. I have never installed an earlier version of the beta! Ut says
to contact PSS, which would be useless. The error mentioned is Error 1714

Do you have any other Office 2007 beta version prior to Beta 2 or
Expression Web Designer installed?
It will complain with that message if any older beta version of Office
is on the machine.

Is there anything vaguely "Microsoft Office"-looking under "Add Remove
Programs"?

Are there any subdirectories under C:\Program Files that look like they
might contain an install of Office?
