Hello all:
I am developing a COM add-in for Outlook 2007 using VS 2005 and the VSTO
project. When I run the project on the dev machine, the add-in runs fine.
Now I need to deploy it but I am not sure of the steps to create a proper
install program. When I created the project from the VSTO template, a Setup
project was created, but when I built the setup project and ran it on a
client machine it doesn't seem to work. The add-in shows up if I got to the
trust center in Outlook, but it is showing in the "Inactive Application
Add-ins" section, and when I select it and click "go" it does not have it's
check box checked. I tried checking the box to enable the add-in, but when I
restart Outlook it does not show up and going back tot eh Trust Center shows
it in the same place, Inactive.
Can anyone suggest a tutorial that steps through the installation process
for an add-in?
