Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
I have Excel 2008 but require VBA. i tried to install 2004 (which was on this machine before), and I keep getting "Office Setup Assistant quit unexpectedly". POSTS here at MACTOPIA claim they can co-exist, I cannot get 2004 to begin the install. I also tried to copy the entire CD to my desktop and then launching that way, and I got the same thing. I am not sure why it is doing this. I am running Office 12.1.3 on a MacBook Air. I cannot find any "Custom Install" as was previously described in threads at Mactopia. I have tried changing permissions, made sure I was Admin etc. I am HOPING that Msft didn't put a block on this install to force me back to Windows.
I live in VBA macro spreadsheets at work and must go into a VMware Fusion VM to do any work, which is a drag since I prefer being native on my Mac.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
