Several buttons not working in Project and Resource Center

Hello good people,
I think this has been an issue earlier on the newsgroups and I believe it
was solved but now I have to bring it up again. Since a while, several
buttons in the project center view and the resource center view are not
functioning anymore, i.e. they are permanently greyed out and cannot be used.
These include the "Edit Project Properties" button, the "Resource Plan"
button, the zoom function and all the settings buttons (filter, group,
search).
This problem occurs in the project center view as well as in the resource
center view. As you can imagine, this is a huge limitation to us, as we are
not able to group objects, to filter resources or to change the project owner
etc. you name it.

We were told to install SP1, which we did and it worked out for a undefined
period of time (a while ago) and then one day, the mentioned buttons would
just not work anymore, just like before. According to our IT specialists,
latest hotfixes have been installed, but still, that didn't change a thing.


If anyone can offer help, it would be greatly appreciated. Even if you
believe there's a particular hotifix/update that would fix it up, just name
it and I will let our IT guys know. They won't do on their own I guess, so
it'd be cool if you could give me details on what we should try to install.

Ok, back again.
We had some further problems with our Project Server instance but have
finally managed to install the update you suggested. Unfortunately, it did
not resolve the issue. Many buttons, like the "Edit Project Properties"
button in the Project Center, are still greyed out and hence not useable.
Everything else seems to work. It leads me to believe that there's another
problem somewhere deeper in our system. But I really cannot figure it out.
Any help is still much appreciated.

I have exact the same problem.
Some buttons are not working (edit project properties etc)
I have installed the infrastructure update, but the problem is still there.

Is there any solution?


I would appreciate every tip.

Wow, finally there is someone with the same problem.
I wish I could help you, but unfortunately, we have yet to come up with a
solution. It's really annoying and no patch or bugfix has helped so far.

I also would appreciate any input greatly.

Hello Peter,

I have for my problem since yesterday a solution.

We had in Project Web Access under
Site Actions / Site Settings / Regional settings / Locale

Deutsch (Switzerland) defined.

If we switch to Deutsch (Deutschland) or English it's fixed!

Hi Christof,
thanks for your idea, this works on our system also. Butt that brings up a
new problem. All costs are now in €, instead of Swiss Francs. May I ask how
you handle this problem?
