Hello,
Does anybody experimented two (or more) Project Server data bases for two
offices in the company, which need different and separated administrations.
In that case, do you use several servers? What about the performances of the
system ?(Speed for openning a project)
Thanks for any feedback,

Muriel

Muriel:

There are a lot of variables that can affect this decision because you can
easily do this either way. Generally, when we're deploying to multiple
departments in the same company we look to do this on the same hardware.
Server convergence seems to be the latest kick in the IT world, so
conserving servers it always a welcome approach. You need to analyze both
the technical environment and the business requirements to determine whether
this is practical or not.

Gary,
What are some of the ramifications or considerations when
deploying two independent Project Server databases on the
same hardware?

Disparate Hardware/OS combinations across depts or geographies
Making sure your servers can handle the load
Analyzing usage patterns to architect a solution properly
etc.
