Several more Outlook 2003 questions.

1) I am now using Outlook 2003 as mail default email client and Outlook
Express as my default news reader, is there anyway I can modify the OE
shortcuts to start as a news reader? (Wish Micro$oft would include a
newsreader within Outlook instead using an outside program)

2) Where do I alter the interval between when Outlook 2003 checks for new
emails, is the correct one under Tools-Send/Receive-Send/Receive
Settings-Define Send/Receive Groups and alter the schedule at the bottom or
have I missed a setting elsewhere?

3) I have downloaded and installed the backup utility (available from
http://www.microsoft/office download section, if anyone else is interested)
for Outlook 2003 how can I get this to prompt me to backup each and every
time I exit Outlook, as I look to keep a regular backup of my PST file on a
separate HD.

Thank you in anticipation of a response.

1. Your shortcuts (right click | properties) to OE should look like this ""C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe" /outnews" the part to add is [ /outnews].

2. Outlook | Tools | Options | Mail Setup | Send Receive.

3. Outlook | File | Backup | Options.

Should get you where you want to be.

All fine except the last one about the backup. Even if I set it to a single
day, when I exit Outlook I still dont get a prompt asking me if I want to
backup my information.

It seems to popup on a 24 hour basis. If you close Outlook before 24 hours has passed since the last backup it doesn't popup - so hit | file | backup | ok | before you close Outlook, seems to reset the timer.
