Several (probably simple) Outlook 2007 questions

First, let me say that I updated to Outlook 2007 from 2003 with no
problems. Also, 2007 seems to run as fast or faster than 2003. This
may be due to having 2GIG of RAM, only use IMAP email, and have 5 or 6
IMAP email addresses configured.

I suspect IMAP runs better on 2007 than 2003 and so I am seeing an
improvement over 2003 processing IMAP which overcomes any general
slowness of Outlook 2007. During the installation process, I did redo
my pst's so that they are all unicode and I disabled RSS as I read
that RSS was a pig in Outlook.

NOW, a couple of simple questions:

1. I read somewhere that I could eliminate the main Outlook "Personal
Folders" PST file, but I can't find the info again. How do I get rid
of the primary Outlook pst? It is used for pop email and I don't use
pop. It is just in the way since it is at the top of the folder tree
and is empty.

2. I upgraded to the category colors in my folders. Now I have
categories such as @agendas, @calls, @Home, @...etc.. DO these
categories have some special significance over the ones that do not
have an @ sign in front of them? If so, can you explain or direct me
to some documentation? I've searched and found nothing.

3. I've been looking for rules automation and other add-ins that will
help with organization and scheduling THAT WORK WITH MULTIPLE IMAP
folders. Has anyone found anything worthwhile. (I'm really tired of
installing add-ins that are ambiguous as to IMAP support only to find
that they don't work with IMAP or otherwise screw up my Outlook.)

What if you right-click it and choose "Close"?

I'm guessing you have or once had the "Getting Things Done" add-in? The "@"
sign has no technical significance, it's simply a way to force those items
to the top of the categories list. The "@" sign alphabetizes before "A" so
those items come up first, making them easy to find if you have a long list
of categories. You can delete them if you don't want/need them.

I don't do much IMAP so I'll leave this one for somebody else. :)
