shade of font

I copied something from my brother's blog to an email and the font he
uses looks a bit "faded." I was able to get the font I prefer back
but the shade is still dim. What do I do? I tried "mail" help. No
luck.

What does this have to do with Microsoft Word?

You give no indication of what software you are using or any details that
might enable someone to offer any suggestions. The only *guess* I can offer
is: Have you tried changing the font color?
