Shading Fill Color Icon in the Formatting Palette

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: intel

There seems to be a glitch when using the "Shading Fill Color" icon when modifying a table.

When i use it from the Formatting Palette, it changes the color of the Font.

When I use the same icon from the "Format:Table:Fill" menu, it changes the table background color (which is what it should do).

In both cases, I highlighted the entire row before I tried to make the change. Can anyone help here?

It looks like you're pointing out a known issue mentioned in the "Table
Shading bug?" thread that started 2/22 and "Table Cells Fill Colour" thread
that started 1/23. Thanks for the feedback.
