Shading

I used "shading" from the Borders and Shading button. I
shaded areas in a document that were new and had to be
reviewed. NOw that I want to unshade the areas, I find
that the tables are retaining the shading regardless of
how many times I click on "no fill."

Does anyone have an idea as to why this is happening?

the shading from the document? Thanks!
