Shape and Text Shadow

I am a Visio Developer using Visio 2003 Activex Control and VB.Net 2003.

I have some colored shapes having gradient. I need to display text on them.
For that as I can't have shadowed text with the text property of the item, I
have another text shape having shadowed text. So, when I drop a Colored
gradient shape along with that I also drop the shadowed text.

My need is when I will be moving the colored shape, the Shadowed Text should
move. And I should also be able to have separate operations on the shadowed
text too as changing of color, etc.

This feature should be available for each and every colored shape only.

Plz. Help.

best practices for the activex control strongly recommend that you do not
use gradients because of performance issues.

My issue yet to be addressed.

I know that if gradient shapes are used it hampers the performance, as it is
mentioned in one of the Mai-lan's Blogs, but as the situation demands I am
using them.

As I can't use shadowed text directly on a shape I have chose the alternate,
having a combination of Shape and Shadowed text. Mouse drag on Shape will
move the shape and the shadowed text combination, but mouse drag on shadowed
text will move only the shadowed text not both. By this I mean that only
while dragging the shape I should have the group option activated, else they
will be operated as separate entities.
