shape.connections.count

I am trying to get the connects count of a shape. The shape is a box which
consist of a group of objects and four connection points. I have connected
two of them together using a dynamic connector. Now, the connector shows two
connections, but shows the connections to a sheet (sheet.58) instead of the
grouped object and the object shows no connections at all.

Why does the connector show the connection but the box does not?
