Fill colors do not display properly on shapes that I add to layers that I
have created, but work fine on the unnamed default layer. It doesn't matter
whether I create the shape on the named layer, whether I move it from the
default layer, whether I copy it from another sheet altogether, or whether or
not the layer is defined to be the active layer. I can change it to and from
no-fill and I can select the color in the format fill dialogue box. No
matter what the assigned color is, however, it always displays as white.
I need to use multiple layers, and I need to fill with color on all layers.
I can't live with white. I am not talking about strange custom shapes. I
have this problem with simple rectangles and circles, created with the
standard toolbar buttons. Have I missed a parameter somewhere?
I am running Visio 2002 Professional SP2 over Windows XP Professional SP1,
and have been doing so for a year. I haven't run into anything else in this
combination that doesn't work the way I'd expect. I've used Visio over at
least 15 years.
Thanks for any help.
