Shape hotspots

Is there a way to add "hotspots" to a shape? What I am looking for is a
way to click a specific spot on a shape where I can get some information
from (another spot would give different information).

Thanks!

Visio 2003 has "SmartTags" that allow you to put various pop-up menus on a
shape, with icons. Think of it as "right-click menus on steroids"

You can set the SmartTag menus to appear on shape-select, mouse-over, or
always-on.

You define them in the ShapeSheet. Check the Developer Reference for
SmartTags.

I've been looking into that and looking at the examples. I'll continue to
look into it more, but is it possible to have one SmartTag store
information? I'm thinking of having perhaps textual information
associated with one SmartTag - and clicking on it (or an option in the
SmartTag menu) will popup a form that will retrieve and allow the user to
update that info.

My other question regarding these is, can they be added at design time of
a master in a stencil? My goal is to have these already populated if
possible so a user can see it when running a program for the first time.

Thanks!

Sorry if this is a double post, but I didn't see it show up. Where can I
find the Developer Reference for SmartTags?
