Shape object add in Excel sheet

Hi

I am trying to open HTML file into Excel sheet and then copy some
values from that workbook and paste it another workbook.

The problem is after running several time file become very heavy (from
300KB to 2MB and then adding on). I have found shape object (chart)
adding in the destination area. I don't know why? because in source
there is no chart it is a simple HTML file.

Can you help me on this issue?

It sounds like your question is about Excel, but this newsgroup deals with
VBA in Word. I suggest you post your message in an Excel newsgroup, perhaps
microsoft.public.excel.programming.
