shapes

I closed the shapes toolbar (perhaps its called a "stencil"?). I can't get
it to come back. It was located at the bottom of the main window. I closed
it intentionally to maximize the main window size, but i can't seem to figure
out how to get it back. I can get Shapes Windows to appear behind or to the
left of the main window, but I can't get them to adhere to the bottom of the
window (like toolbars do).
Any suggestions?

What version of Visio are you using? With 2003 if you grab the "Shapes"
window by the title and drag it over your document to the very bottom it
should just clip into place. You may need to drag it around a bit at the
bottom since it's a bit touchy.

Thanks,
Rich.

Thanks Rich.
I'm using Visio Pro 2003 SP1. I've tried what you suggested. Right
draging, left draging. It does not seem to adhere like toolbars do in all
other Office programs.

I've found that often you have to float the window before you can lock
it to the left/right/bottom of the window. So, click + drag it out into
space, then let go, and then click + drag it to the edge you want.

I figured out what happened. I increased my display resolution in order to
capture a screen. When I did this, I detached the Shapes Window and moved it
to the bottom of the screen. When I returned to my normal resolution, the
Shapes Window was off the screen. Color me an idiot. Thanks to everyone for
trying to help.
